John Zeger is Chairman of Citizens for Responsible Community Planning, Kelowna, B.C. (www.saveparadise.org), Chairperson of Citizens for a Livable Downtown (www.livablekelowna.org) and creator of the Control Urban Growth (www.controlgrowth.ning.com) and Human Scale Urban Development (www.humanscale.ning.com) networks. He was a candidate for city council in 2005 on the Action for a Sustainable Kelowna (ASK) party.
Mr. Zeger graduated from the State University of New York with a B.A. in political science. He did post-graduate work at the University of Alberta in psychology and economics. He has been employed as a university instructor, social worker, and spent 11 years on the planning staff of the Edmonton Regional Planning Commission working on projects such as the Edmonton Region Growth Study and numerous General Plans for area municipalities.
